Performing at theaters across California, Erika has had the pleasure of playing some iconic roles such as Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire (opposite her husband, Brent Schindele), Belle in A Christmas Carol for 10 years running at Tony award winning theater: South Coast Repertory; as well as Georgie in Heisenberg; Lisa in Collected Stories (Desert Theater League nominee for Best Actress) and the historic Martha Jefferson in 1776 (for which the show won an LA Weekly award). Also, at South Coast Repertory she originated the role of Helen in the World Premiere of An Italian Straw Hat and has been on their stage every year in the last decade. She has also worked along side Ms. Gretchen Cryer in her West Coast Premiere and revival of I’m Still Getting My Act Together at Laguna Playhouse.  

Erika is a long time member of the Actor’s Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA and AGVA. She received her BA from the School of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA.  In addition to acting on screen and stage, Erika narrates audiobooks! (Check out her audiobook page!).  Beyond acting, Erika is a theater educator; directing, choreographing, musically directing for various youth programs and numerous schools in the LA and OC areas. Erika enjoys learning new things and has been studying American Sign Language and learning to play the violin.  She is an avid runner and a yogi.  And most rewarding, mom to Jack!
